The Payroll Operations Supervisor will provide guidance on issues related to union dues contract administration wage withholding orders employment verifications and other payroll related issues as needed.
The Payroll Operations Supervisor will also provide as needed support for the Payroll Tax team.
Responsible for coaching and development of the team employees to ensure alignment with the Be-Act-Engage principles and team accountability standards
Serve as the payroll subject matter expert for Union contracts (401k HW and other deductions) garnishment administration and quarterly Service Award processing
Responsible for ensuring that all Union payments are processed to the correct general ledger accounts and are remitted in a timely manner to the appropriate vendor
Ensure regulatory compliance in managing the Escheatment process and annual Auto Allowance processing
Manage the monthly operational calendar and processes for Payroll including holding others accountable for required deliverables .
Collaborates with Accounting to resolve payroll general ledger account variances
Monitoring timely review and completion of payroll cases based upon assignment
Proactively anticipate customer needs and build trusting relationships through collaboration and knowledge sharing
Maintain and update assigned Payroll Operations process documentation and workflows
Testing validation & implementation of team process enhancements & improvements
Supervise activities of time analysts ensuring timely and accurate resolution of time cases that impact payroll processing
Support support to all Payroll Operations functions as directed.
Required Qualifications:
High School or Associates Degree
3 years payroll experience
Previous demonstrated experience US and Canadian Payroll taxes
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business accounting finance or related field preferred
