Wellness Center Associate (Part-Time)

The Wellness Center Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy exercise environment by conducting daily maintenance and cleaning/sanitizing of all equipment in the common area of the wellness center and candidate should be familiar with fitness equipment and keeping up to date on safety and fitness trends.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Educational background in Physical Education Exercise Science Health Education or related field preferred but not required
• Hold current CPR and First Aid certifications or willing to be certified
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to work positively with members and staff is a must.
• Personal Trainer Certification is highly preferred and is a PLUS!!

Job Duties:

• Meets and greets all members and guests of the Fitness Center with the upmost attentiveness and courtesy
• Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Must be knowledgeable of Fitness activities and equipment in order to adequately explain them to members and guests.
• Follows opening and closing procedures for Fitness Center.
• Quickly learns members names and greets members and guests by name.
• Performs equipment orientations.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of Fitness Center. Reports to supervisor any equipment needing repair.
• Organizes each room with the proper equipment during hourly Walk throughs
• Replenishes supplies such as towels water cups and disinfecting wipes.
• Enforces Wellness Center Rules & Regulations.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus Employee Assistance Program Access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees and Sick Leave

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 5:00am - 8:00am 8:00am - 12:00pm 12:00pm - 4:00pm 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Saturdays: 7:00am - 11:00am 11:00am - 3:00pm Sundays: 9:00am - 1:00pm. Varying shifts available. Please tell us what your schedule availability is in your application.
