Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant /COTA FT position with benefits M-F/ No weekendsHiring ImmediatelySUMMARYAdministers occupational therapy treatment to program participants according to a program plan developed by a licensed occupational JOB FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed all program participants receive scheduled occupational therapy treatments and documents therapy active passive and/or resistive therapeutic exercises general therapy principles on program knowledge of indications and contra-indications of heating modalities and appropriate splints under instruction of occupational therapist and instructs program participant in splint wear and program participants in homebound and community level including endurance a good working knowledge of occupational therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise with staff members and other health care members to exchange discuss and evaluate program participant information for modifying and coordinating current treatment program and participates in treatment planning with trans-disciplinary team as requested. Adheres to ethics of inventory of current occupational therapy equipment and confers with department regarding current status and future needs. Requests supplies as or checks daily billing logs for program daily scheduling patterns communicates with staff and adjusts schedules as needed for other related duties and activities as RESPONSIBILITIESNone RequiredMinimum Knowledge and Skills required by the JobThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or abilities required to perform the and Experience:High School Diploma and graduate of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OTTwo years experience in neurorehabilitation preferredCertificates Licenses and Registrations:Licensed as COTA/L in Skills and Abilities:Other Requirements:Travel as neededPhysical Requirements:Heavy work.
