Primary Care Office Manager
Monday-Friday 40 Hours/Week
Position Summary
Oversee daily operations of the MHS Primary Care program including scheduling staffing compliance with federal state and regulatory laws quality and performance improvement initiatives. The Primary Care Manager ensures efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care in conjunction with the MHS mission and values.
Responsibilities
Engage in partnerships with public health agencies community organizations and other stakeholders to improve community health and patient access.
Leads day to day operations of the Primary Care clinics including overseeing scheduling of clients staffing of clinics and ensuring documentation is completed and timely. Give hands-on support to staff both clinical and administrative for primary care services.
Ensure referrals/authorizations insurance documentation scheduling patient releases and other paperwork is completed and audited as needed. Oversee the collection of patient identification and demographics HIPAA forms insurance information collect co-pay and documents indicated signs and symptoms and consent for treatment.
Lead quality improvement initiatives monitor clinical outcomes and support clinical excellence.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities for Primary Care staff.
Standardize processes and procedures to improve patient and staff experiences and provide support as needed.
Maintain office and clinical equipment and effectively manage procurement for both clinical and general office supplies.
Ensures collaboration with mental and behavioral health and other community partners for clients best interests and quality of care.
Ensure compliance with FQHC standards as well as all other regulatory standards for Primary Care.
Follows all universal precautions for safety infection control and follows all state federal and joint commission health and safety standards.
Treats patients and family with dignity and respect at all times and holds all patient information in the strictest confidence.
Adhere to professional standards policies and procedures federal state and local requirements and Joint Commission standards including National Patient Safety Goals. Presents a positive image of MHSCC to other community agencies caregivers and citizens
Completes all MHS required education and training including initial agency orientation mandatory training and education and upkeep of all required certifications and licensures as required by state federal and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrates organizational stewardship and exemplifies the mission vision and values of MHS.
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned
Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in healthcare administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical operations healthcare management or a similar healthcare support role.
Primary Care office experience required
Strong knowledge of clinical workflows regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes.
