Meet the team:
The Clinical Scientist is a senior member of the Global ClinicalScienceteamfocusedon clinical strategy. As a ClinicalScientistyou willuse your scientificmedicaland therapeuticexpertiseto drivethe clinical strategy ofDexcom productsin support ofDexcoms product portfolio.Leading the development and design ofclinical studiesthat meet the labelingclaimsaccessandclinicaldevelopmentwithCommercial R&DMarketAccessMedical AffairsandProduct Marketinggroups to fulfill the clinical strategy and develop plans reports and project deliverables.You willbe responsible forinteractions with regulatory agencies as needed and will use your scientific and medical knowledge to provide directives to teams and study sites as needed.
Where you come in:
Drive the development of clinical strategy and trial designwith cross-functional leaders from Commercial MarketingMedical AffairsandR&Dleadership.
Provide input on best practices in therapeutic areas re: gold standard endpoints and outcome measures scientific/ clinical evaluations study instruments questionnaires and relevant standards for evaluating medical devices
Informsclinical evaluation (plans and reports)clinical trial protocols protocol amendments and scientific publications.
Facilitates communication betweenCommercialMarketing R&D ClinicalProgram Management Regulatory& ScientificAffairsMedical Writing ProductDevelopment QualityAssurance/ComplianceMedicalAffairsandexternal CROs.
Conduct team meetingsandpresent regular updates to senior staff.
Participatesin clinical study or clinical evaluation timelines and budgets
Examine data sets anddeterminethe best end-to-end analysis plan to address key scientific questions
Facilitates regulatory submissions and communications by communicating with Regulatory Affairs during the submission process.
Interprets results in preparation for product applications by evaluating clinical and scientific and risk data andliterature andstaying abreast of current clinical practice.
What makes you successful:
You will have a PhD MD and/or equivalent in endocrinology metabolicdiseaseor related field with extensive clinical researchexperience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate these to non-clinical team members
Expertisein medical writing including authoring and leading clinical evidence reports clinical study reports and other reports needed for regulatory filings and meetings in the US and globally
Optional but nice to have:Advanced Programming Skills (Python R SPSS SASMatLabEtc) anddemonstratedadvanced statisticalanalysisexperience
Experience in the European market
Ability to work in a matrixed organization

Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires aBachelorsdegree anda minimum of 13 years of relatedexperience.
At thislevela graduate degree may beexpected with 6 years of related experience
