Job Summary

Responsibilities:
- Performs general construction work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor
- Hand dig holes and trenches with a shovel and other hand tools
- Basic knowledge of underground cable locating
- Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment
- Responsible for transporting equipment and materials
- Install underground telecommunications cabling
- Flagging traffic setup safety perimeter using signage cones and safety barriers
- Performs daily walkarounds and alerts mechanics of any defects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Experience with aerial lift devices utility lines and poles
- 1 years aerial line experience in the telecommunications field
- 1 year construction general labor experience or military equivalent
- Able to read and understand make-ready drawings and sheets
- Able to read and understand all aspects of cable design
- Strong knowledge of NESC (GO95 for California) requirements
- Able to work safely with or without supervision
- Able to travel as needed
