What will the work look like for me
- Learn Daktronics products systems processes and material flow.
- Lead and supervise inventory.
- Hire train and coach employees.
- Foster teamwork through effective communication to employees and internal customers.
- Monitor completeness accuracy and compliance during inventory transactions.
- Use of work orders pulling material from warehouse and data entry.
- Handle inventory and work order discrepancies investigate root cause and implement solutions.
- Handle miscellaneous requests transactions and questions.
- Ensure high accuracy in all transactions.
- Perform regular cycle counting according to company policy.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools to lead the team in constant improvement to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Maintain strong working relationships and teamwork with project teams and factory personnel.
- Ensure safe and responsible work practices.
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed to meet customer expectations.
Where is this opportunity located
This position is located in Sioux Falls South Dakota in our Sioux Falls Manufacturing department. This department supports the digital billboard and fuel light niches within the Commercial market. The department will be responsible for the timely and quality production of digital billboards fuel lights displays and additional products as business needs demand.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Materials/Logistics Supervisor position we require the following:
- Bachelors degree in Economics Business Math or related field of study required.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to train and motivate employees.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgement.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Microsoft Office skills required.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
- Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours.
- Ability to work overtime when workload requires.
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses safety shoes/boots hearing protection and electrostatic discharge wear. You will be provided the PPE for the required areas.
- Physical Requirements include the ability to:
- Move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain steady hand/eye coordination.
- Read fine print.
- The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal state provincial and local laws.
- Fluent in English written and verbal.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
