If you are a technical sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career this Sales Engineer (Power & Energy) position within Emersons Global Sales organization gives you the chance to combine your technical expertise with customer engagement and business this field-based role you will cover Northern & Central Italy ideally based in Northern Italy focusing primarily on the Power Industry. You will use your experience in process automation systems and software solutions to build trusted partnerships with customers - from engineering teams to senior executives - and help them realize the full value of Emersons automation and Distributed Control System (DCS) solutions.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop Territory Strategy Understand market dynamics customer needs and competitive activity to create territory plans that drive sustainable order growth and profitability in Northern & Central Italy with a focus on the Power & Energy sector.
- Engage Customers Build maintain and grow strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at multiple levels of the customer organization from technical teams to C-suite stakeholders.
- Position Solutions Identify customer challenges and opportunities and present Emersons automation and DCS solutions (including Ovation and other platforms) in a clear compelling way that highlights value safety reliability and efficiency.
- Drive Customer Interaction Plan and conduct regular in-person customer visits technical presentations demos and workshops to understand requirements position Emersons capabilities and support the full sales cycle.
- Lead Negotiations Manage commercial discussions related to pricing discounts and contractual terms in line with Emersons Delegation of Authority ensuring both customer satisfaction and responsible business outcomes.
- Collaborate Internally Partner closely with sales support proposals engineering project and service teams to develop winning strategies and value-focused offers that address customer needs and timelines.
- Manage Pipeline Maintain accurate opportunity data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system provide reliable forecasts and share insights on market trends risks and growth opportunities.
- Ensure Compliance Operate with integrity and professionalism following Emersons ethics standards Trade Compliance procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.

For This Role You Will Need:
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Direct experience in the Power & Energy sector such as power generation plants Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) environments or Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
- Knowledge of major DCS platforms beyond Ovation (for example DeltaV PCS 7 800xA Experion or similar systems).
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization collaborating across multiple business units functions and geographies.
- Familiarity with OEM/EPC project lifecycles and end-user engagement strategies from early conceptual design through commissioning and lifecycle services.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with experience developing and executing territory or account growth plans.
- Experience working in international cross-cultural environments and ideally additional language skills beyond Italian and English.
