JOB DUTIES

• Plan layout install and repair wiring fixtures control equipment underground cables and conduits
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and construction drawings to execute work accurately
• Diagnose electrical issues and operate basic electrical test equipment
• Work closely with superintendents project managers engineers and other tradespeople
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage (hard hat safety glasses respirator etc.) and OSHA standards
• Train and guide electrical helpers and apprentices
• Ensure accurate reporting and accountability for tools materials and work quality
• Perform terminations up to 1500V AC/DC

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in the construction industry as an electrician
• Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR)
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems construction specifications and safety procedures
• Positive attitude strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
• Pre-employment craft test drug screen physical background check and completion of safety training is a condition of employment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders scaffolding stairways etc.
• Stoop kneel crouch crawl or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers vessels excavations etc.
• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials.
  • It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt concrete asphalt mud gravel etc.)
