Production Planning Supervisor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supervisor of Production Planning to join our manufacturing this role you will oversee and manage the production planning processfor the production ofUL1741 electrical cabinets harnesses andovermoldfuses and fabricated components such as copper bus bars steelpanelsand pile caps. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including business development engineering procurement and production to ensure the efficient andtimelydelivery of products whilemaintaininghigh standardsof quality cost and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:â

• Production Planning & Scheduling:Oversee and develop production schedules based on customer orders inventory levels and resource availability. Ensure efficient use of materials labor and equipment to meet production goals.

• ERP:Drive all parameter updates towards effective ERP implementation for production capacity Resources and engage with stakeholders towards successful change management.

• S&OP:Manage Demand Supply Inventory across the time horizon and work with stakeholders in Procurement toputfortha Product Supply plan to meet business plans.

• Material Planning:Review BOMs in ERP/ Engineering folders to see gaps in materialrequirementto availability to drive awipfeasibleMaster Production schedule.

• Resource Allocation:Coordinate with various departments (procurement engineering and manufacturing) to ensure the availability of materials components and resourcesrequiredfor production.

• Inventory Management:Monitorand manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess inventory ensuringtimelyavailability of raw materials and components.

• Process Optimization:Identifyand implement improvements in production planning processes to increase efficiency reduce waste and enhance overall productivity as measured byOEE.

• Team Leadership & Development:Supervise and mentor a team of production planners providing guidance training and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:Communicate with business development engineering procurement and production teams toalign onproduction priorities resolve issues and ensure customer requirements are met.

• Reporting & Analysis:Prepare and present regular reports on production schedules progress and any potential delays or challenges. Use data and metrics toidentifytrends and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Compliance & Quality:Ensure that all production planning activitiescomply withcompany policies safety regulations and quality standards- ISO 9002.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:â

• Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Supply Chain Management Industrial Engineering Business Administration ora relatedfield.

• 3-5 years of experience in production planning preferably in a manufacturing environment with a focus on electrical and harness components or related industries.

• Strong understanding of production processes scheduling techniques and inventory management.

• Experience with production planning software (ERP MRP systems etc.) is highly preferred.

• Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts or delays in production schedules.

• Knowledge of quality control standards and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
