Job Summary:

Cambridge Brands Inc. isseeking an experienced Packaging Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to lead the Packaging Maintenance Department and ensure the plants packaging equipment operates safely efficiently and reliably. This role is responsible for driving maintenance performance supervising skilled personnel and collaborating across departments to optimize uptime improve processes and support a strong safety and quality culture. The ideal candidate brings extensive technical expertise in food production packaging systems strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

KeyResponsibilities:

LeadthePackagingMaintenanceDepartmenttoensuresafesanitaryandefficientequipmentperformancewithinbudget.
Planandmanagemaintenanceactivitiesincludingpreventativeprogramssparepartsandresourceallocation.
Traindevelopandsupervisedepartmentpersonneltoensurestrongtechnicalcapabilityandeffectiveperformance.
Collaboratewithcrossfunctionalteamstosupportsafeoperationsefficientlinechangeoversandcontinuousimprovement.
Coordinateoutsideservicesandsupportcapitalandexpenseprojectsrelatedtopackagingequipment.
Maintainuptodatetechnicalknowledgeofpackagingsystemsandprocesses.
PromoteasafeworkenvironmentandenforceplantsafetyqualityandSQFpolicies.
FosterpositiveemployeerelationsapplyingHRpracticestosupportamotivatedeffectiveworkforce.

DesiredEducation&Skills

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred) or technical training with equivalent experience.
Tenyearsofexperienceinafoodproductionenvironmentpreferred.
Workingknowledgeoffoodprocessingandpackagingsystemsmachinerycontrolsandregulatoryrequirements.
Provensupervisoryandleadershipskills.
Strongcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytoconveyinformationclearlyandeffectively.
KnowledgeofelectroniccontrolsystemsincludingPLCs.
Abilitytotroubleshootmechanicalissuesandperformrepairs.
Understandingofsafetypracticesregulationsandprocedures.
ProficiencywithbasiccomputerapplicationssuchasMSWordandOutlook.
Ability to lift/handle up to 35 lbs.
