With over 700 locations in Japan and a rapid growth in the U.S Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is looking for candidates that are passionate about people and food to help spread out our dining culture with the world.

We are looking for Cook/Dishwasher hybrid position in San Diego CA.

Responsibilities for Cook:

Follows all recipes and performs food preparation & cooking duties including meat salad appetizers entree etc.
Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware pots pans and cooking/serving utensils are available
Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation

Responsibilities for Dishwasher:

Follows sanitation standards and always keeps workstation clean and sanitized.
100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware and grilling equipment.
Helps with other tasks as assigned by Manager on Duty.
Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware pots pans and cooking/serving utensils are available
Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation

Qualifications:

Equivalent experience and familiarity with basic cooking supplies and equipment is preferred.
Restaurant experience preferred
Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
Must maintain good hygiene
Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain great enthusiasm
Be a team player with strong work ethics
Must be able to work holiday season (Christmas Eve Christmas New Years Eve New Year)
Must be available to work at least 4 shifts a week.

Pay and Benefits:

Wage averages to about $18 per hour Tips
Raise after training and regularly based on performance.
