Job Summary
Title: Senior Juniper Network Engineer (Senior candidate only)
Location: Columbia SC (Onsite with travel to sites within 2 hours)
Overview
Client is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support one of their customers technology operations. This role is based in Columbia SC and requires onsite work with travel to multiple locations within a two hour radius (no overnight stay). The ideal candidate is a mid level engineer with strong hands on experience in enterprise networking environments particularly with Juniper technologies.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys troubleshooting field engineering and working across diverse network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite network support across approximately eight sites within a two hour drive of Columbia SC.
- Perform hands on troubleshooting diagnostics and remediation on production network infrastructure.
Execute MAC (Moves Adds Changes) activities across switches routers and wireless systems.
Replace configure and validate network hardware as needed (swap outs upgrades etc.).
Document changes configurations and site level updates.
Collaborate with Client and the customer teams to ensure network stability and performance.
Maintain a high level of professionalism while working independently in the field.
Required Experience & Skills
5 years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
Strong hands on experience with Juniper networking equipment and Junos OS (top priority).
Demonstrated experience supporting Brocade networks (Brocade/Extreme/Broadcom lineage).
Working knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
Familiarity with Aruba and Ruckus wireless solutions is beneficial.
Solid understanding of routing and switching fundamentals including routing protocols.
Experience performing MAC work in production environments.
Ability and willingness to drive up to several hours per day (no overnight travel required).
