We specialise in infrastructure construction with a strong focus on reinforced concrete. Our current projects span a wide range including bridges wharves water treatment plants storage tanks and pipelines.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer in the heavy civil space to join our successful team on the O Mahurangi Penlink Alliance.

If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment with some of the best in the industry then this is the role for you. Reporting into a Project Engineer your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with sub-contractors and manage site construction activities is essential. You will work beside a talented experienced team receiving mentoring from some of the best in the industry. Enjoy the opportunity to develop your career on this major project.

This role would suit someone based on the North Shore or further north of Auckland.

In addition to the above you will:

• Coordinating and overseeing daily site activities to ensure smooth progress of all works.
• Organising and developing construction methodologies and work programs to deliver the project on schedule and to specification.
• Identifying and solving engineering problems quickly and effectively.
• Managing procurement of materials and subcontractor services to meet project needs.
• Implementing quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the project life-cycle.
• Championing Fulton Hogans safety-first culture by promoting and enforcing safe work practices to protect the wellbeing of everyone on site.

Were looking for someone with:

• Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in heavy civil construction or major infrastructure projects.
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering (BE NZCE or Diploma).
• Strong ability to plan and develop construction methodologies and work programmes.
• Proven subcontractor management and resource optimisation (materials plant labour).
• A collaborative attitude solid communication skills and a genuine interest in building complex civil structures safely and to a high standard.
