Schedule:Shift 2 - C Shift (5:00 PM-5:20 AM)

Pay Rate: $17.00/HR

Position Summary

The Line Quality Controller (LQC) is responsible for ensuring product quality meets customer specifications by monitoring control points throughout the production line and accurately documenting results. This role involves identifying and addressing non-conformances to maintain the highest standards of product quality and food safety.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to achieve required product quality standards.
  • Ensure all quality standards are consistently met.
  • Complete required documentation accurately legibly and at specified intervals.
  • Report all non-conformances to the Line Manager QA or Shift Manager.
  • Ensure reported non-conformances are acknowledged and signed off on relevant documentation.
  • Participate in taste panels as required.
  • Maintain an organized clean and safe workstation.
  • Ensure food safety standards are always upheld.
  • Follow and promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Stay informed of the production plan including any changes and adjust workflow accordingly (e.g. product changeovers).
  • Contribute to achieving targets related to rework downtime and waste reduction.
  • Adhere to all company policies procedures and safety regulations.
  • Collect and log samples according to the QC sampling plan.
  • Attend weekly team briefings.
  • Demonstrate company values and expected behaviors in all tasks and interactions.


Measurable Outcomes

  • Lead by example and keep the team informed of operational changes.
  • Maintain low customer complaints and product hold levels.
  • Ensure all documentation passes audits with no non-conformances.
  • Accurately report and document non-conformances with proper sign-off.
  • Achieve target taste panel scores and attend required panels (WASP/WIBIT).
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure right first time production.
  • Pass QA audits with no non-conformances.
  • Maintain GMP compliance across the team.
  • Meet yield targets.
  • Minimize waste downtime and rework through effective communication.
  • Follow all Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ensure proper sample collection and documentation.
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings.


Levels of Responsibility

  • Completion and accuracy of LQC documentation.

  • Ownership of product quality within assigned area.
  • Sample collection and documentation.
  • Accepting production lines only after proper sign-off by the Line Manager and Machine Operator.
  • Providing coverage for LQC absences with support from Line Management.

Work Environment
