Whowerelooking for

ToyotasProduction Engineering PaintDepartment is looking for a passionate andhighly motivatedPlanningSeniorEngineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is toevaluate and planautomationinnovationevaluateand testpaintnew technologies.Additionallytrack Toyotascarbon neutralitytargets within the paintshops andsetstandards both fornew technologyand environmentaltargetswithstandardizationacross the NAMCs.

Reporting to theEquipment Planning GroupEngineering Manager the person in this role will support thePaint PEdepartmentsobjectivetotrialequipment for new vehicle projectsand technologies to meet Toyotas goals to include but not limited to CPU reductionqualityimprovementsandenvironmental targets.

Whatyoullbe doing

  • Support evaluation of innovative equipment project proposals including process and equipment capability assessments

  • Develop strategies and lead implementation for North American equipment testing and evaluation in lab and plant environments

  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project status and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Become an expert in multiple paint shop technologies and systems collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals

  • Develop standards and (RJ) documents fornew technologiesand improve specifications for equipment ensuringCoHEcompliance and cross-NAM standardization

  • Provide cross-functional support to the E&F 2050 group to meet environmental targets

  • Lead supplier development activities with Purchasing to improve bids specifications and development processes

  • Coach and develop junior members in the group

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the timeboth domestic and international

  • Ability to work weekends during holidays and/or NAMC shutdown

What you bring

  • Bachelor of Science inanEngineeringDiscipline or equivalent experience in Toyota engineering or technical role

  • At least 2years of experience with equipment bidding specification and evaluation

  • At least 2 yearsof Toyota new equipment installation and start-up experience

  • At least 2 yearsof project management experience; implementation or following Kanban processandCoHE

  • Ability toidentifyproject restrictions and develop effective countermeasures

  • Experience with CAD 3D Inventor or similar modeling software

  • Ability to evaluate CPU impact and implement reduction activities

  • Experience creating A3 and/orRingidocuments for equipment procurement

Added bonusif you have

  • BilingualinEnglishandJapaneseand/or English andSpanish

  • At least 2 yearsPLC experience and knowledge

  • MSRC andorMachine Risk Analysis Experience

  • At least 2 yearsof experience in automation and/or robot programming

  • Experience with vision system evaluation programming and use cases

  • Experience with paint shop booths ovensconveyerabatement systems air houses and enclosures
