Summary
Youll be the front line of our rental departmentbuilding customer relationships driving sales and keeping operations running smoothly. This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great customer service.This position is a combination of competitive base salary and uncapped incentive.
Key Responsibilities
Rental Operations & Customer Service
- Manage day-to-day rental department operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service with every interaction
- Prepare and process rental agreements and related documentation
- Drive utilization of rental units
Sales Business Development & Reporting
- Actively pursue rental sales and incentive goals
- Make 810 sales calls daily to prospective clients
- Build and maintain relationships with key rental customers
- Maintain an up-to-date customer/prospect database
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports
- Participate in sales meetings and support marketing initiatives
- Monitor fleet inventory and help plan equipment needs
- Support development of the annual Ideal Lease business plan
- Conduct market analysis to remain competitively priced
Compliance Health & Safety
- Follow OHSA guidelines and internal safety protocols
- Support team goals and departmental initiatives
What You Bring
- High school diploma (college education an asset but not required)
- 2 years of experience in truck or equipment rental
- Experience using CDK Systems an asset but not required
- Rental counter experience an asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of commercial vehicle qualifications
- Valid G class drivers license and clean driving record
- DZ license an asset but not required
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems an asset but not required
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoor

Working Conditions
The Rental Agent Idealease will alternate between sitting and standing for 6-8 hours either in an indoor temperature moderated well-lit environment or in the outside lot where temperatures may fluctuate depending on the season. The incumbent will be required to use office equipment such as a computer fax machine and telephone. Must be able to stand walk and bend for extended periods and be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Climb in and out of trucks and opening the truck hoods upwards of 50 lbs of pull.
