Job Summary
Location: Gladstone
Aurizon is looking for a Qualified Locomotive Train Driver to join the Bulk QCL service at the Gladstone depot. This role will be suited to an individual whois able to display superior teamwork skills flexibility a high level of safety awareness and customer service. If youre interested in joining a small dynamic team of six structured shift times providing great work life balance in a Central Queensland location this role is for you!
About the role:
- Operation of locomotives including mainline shunting and marshalling.
- Driver only operations with load and unload apps.
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
- Work in accordance with Aurizons safety and operational standards and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of on-time running.
- Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
- Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives.
About you:
- Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster.
- Previous experience in 4000 or 4100 class locomotives is preferred.
- Experience in QLD Safeworking System is advantageous.
- Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
- A Certificate IV in Rail Operations. (Mandatory)
- Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence.
