What Youll Be Doing
As a Business Analyst you will be a member of the Project Delivery team within CIBCs Canadian Banking Wealth Management (WM) group. This role requires a high level of interactions with CIBC Wealth Management groups and with the management teams that also includes Operations and Technology Compliance Legal Business Risk Audit departments vendors and software development groups.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 2 days per week and fourth Friday of each month on-site while other days will be remote.
How Youll Succeed
Documenting - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs create process flows. Document all artifacts of the requirement management process business process models use-cases functional and non-functional requirements process flows data elements business designs etc. Obtain signoff for all Requirement Management deliverables.
Project Management - Manage assigned work packages against timelines and within scope and budget; make recommendations on corrective actions if work package deliverables are in jeopardy. Actively manage client expectations on the work package and the project overall where supporting in a PM capacity.
Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification solution requirements and quality assurance.
Continuous Improvement - Work with business and process engineering to provide continuous improvement and high level of quality in all deliverables processes and procedures. Ensure business and system requirements are documented in the form of detailed functional and non-functional requirements and business designs which meet industry best practices and are consumable by clients development and testing. Research existing policies procedures methodologies and systems that support the current state and identify changes needed to support revised processes.
Relationship Management - Develop and manage relationships with multiple businesses and segments project managers technology partners and external partners. Develop a thorough understanding of client groups and businesses in order to recommend client specific approaches to resolving the needs of the clients.

You demonstrate experience in 3 to 4 years of business analysis experience. You have developed knowledge of the financial services industry and a good understanding of retail banking products services and processes.
You have experience in performing comprehensive analysis and making recommendations.
