Structural Line Group Leader
Nucor Building Systems Indiana (NBSIN) is seeking a driven and hands-on Structural Line Group Leader to join our this role youll lead from the frontowning safety developing teammates and driving daily production performance. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on both people and process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while building a team culture rooted in accountability continuous improvement and results.
Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities for a production group leader include but are not limited to:
- Lead Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing policies procedures and housekeeping standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Workflow: Partner with internal teams to ensure production schedules resources and priorities are aligned for efficient operations.
- Maintain Critical Records & Reporting: Accurately track and manage documentation related to safety production inventory attendance payroll equipment maintenance and teammate performance.
- Develop & Coach Teammates: Provide ongoing coaching feedback and development opportunities to strengthen team capability and performance.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements across safety quality cost and productivity to enhance overall team effectiveness.
- Support Hands-On Operations: Assist with production activities as needed including operating equipment and supporting day-to-day floor operations.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Demonstrated Leadership Experience either formal or informal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or cross training related to building systems structural operations.
- Prior professional leadership experience.
- Current AWS and/or CWB weld certifications.
