The Assistant Vice President Business Development leads strategic growth initiatives that expand market presence strengthen referral networks and advance new business opportunities across the division. This role evaluates and drives service line expansions strategic partnerships and program development while analyzing market trends and competitive activity to guide organizational strategy. Serving as a key liaison between executive leadership clinical operations and community stakeholders the Assistant Vice President ensures alignment between growth plans operational readiness and clinical excellence ultimately supporting longterm sustainability and improved access to behavioral health services.

AAssistant Vice President Business Developmentwho excels in this role:

  • Collaborates with leaders to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities including service line development network integration outpatient behavioral health services joint ventures and coordinated care models.

  • Leads and manages Business Development leaders within the assigned region ensuring accountability coaching and high performance.

  • Analyzes internal and external data sources to assess market opportunities industry trends and competitive dynamics to support strategic decisionmaking.

  • Partners with operational and financial leaders to ensure accurate forecasting pro forma modeling goal setting and development of performance metrics for key initiatives.

  • Works with subject matter experts in areas such as strategic planning managed care service line development and acquisitions to enhance planning and execution.

  • Collaborates with crossfunctional leaders to evaluate plan and implement strategic initiatives across the division.

  • Drives execution of growth strategies by providing expert guidance to leaders building consensus and monitoring progress toward timelines and deliverables.

  • Identifies barriers to progress and proactively troubleshoots obstacles to ensure successful deployment of business development initiatives.

  • Motivates influences and engages team members and partners to support business development priorities and achieve growth goals.

  • Tracks and evaluates the performance of strategic initiatives including volume trends market share quality outcomes financial results and operational benchmarks.

  • Develops innovative forwardlooking strategies that enhance market competitiveness and strengthen the divisions overall business development efforts.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal leaders community partners referral sources and strategic stakeholders to support growth objectives.

  • Ensures alignment of business development initiatives with organizational priorities clinical excellence and compliance requirements.

  • Prepares and presents detailed business cases reports and recommendations to executive leadership to guide strategic planning and investment decisions.

  • Supports the transition of new business development opportunities into operationalized sustainable programs in partnership with clinical and operational leaders.

What were looking for
Applicants should have aBachelors degree in healthcare administration business administration marketing or related field from an accredited school required. Masters degree from an accredited school preferred with 5 years of experience in healthcare business development marketing and/or strategy requirements include:

  • Experience in the field of behavioral health required.
  • Regional business development experience required
  • Proven ability to drive organizational performance and lead complex cross-functional projects
