The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is seeking an Engineering Technician - Project Appointment (temporary) to provide support for our instructional laboratories and academic programs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective operation of teaching labs and handson coursework under the supervision and direction of the ECE Instructional Lab Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all lab test instrumentation and equipment is functional. Instruct TAs and students on the safe operation of all lab equipment (30% FTE)
Consult with faculty to ensure installed lab test equipment meets EE curriculum requirements. Develop an effective equipment replacement and upkeep policy (10% FTE)
Design and manufacture specialized lab equipment for EE classes (25% FTE)
Responsible for the design procurement packaging and distribution of all EE class lab kits (30% FTE)
Work closely with faculty and instructors on EE course lab experiment design production of course documentation lab procedures and circuit schematics (5% FTE)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license/certification/registration.
