Job Description:
The Utilities Lead Technician is the PM systems owner for their production areas and responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses. The Utilities Lead Technician is responsible for building capability in Operating teams.
Education Minimum:
Technical degree/trade certification OR
5 years equivalent technical experience in manufacturing required
Education Preferred:
Associates degree in a technical discipline preferably in Industrial Maintenance/Technology.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.).
Frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform climb stairs leaning over equipment.
Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
Minimum:
Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner.
Clear ability to relate to and motivate people and effectively train.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
Preferred:
Experience operating within a formalized Continuous Improvement Environment (MSE TPM Lean Manufacturing)
PLC/ Instrumentation troubleshooting skills
Active participation and leadership in CP2/DDS meetings
Oversee the coordination of Planned Stops in the assigned area.
Owns assignment of maintenance resources to execute planned stops BDE process including execution of corrective action across all relevant lines.
Spokesperson for the maintenance group during all DMS discussions.
Technical expert in the assigned area including mechanical electrical and controls systems and a thorough understanding of the process.
Own PM systems for the Line focusing on Maintenance Planning and Scheduling and Breakdown Elimination.
Drives results in Planned and Unplanned Downtime and owns:
Maintain & Repair costs for line
Planned Maintenance and PM compliance.
Breakdown reduction
Technical expert of related equipment and discuss coach and train technicians and operators on this equipment.
Perform all the duties of a senior mechanical/electrical technician at the highest levels of technical proficiency.
Owns Anomaly Handling DMS
Participates in the development and owns portions of the Lines 90-Day loss-elimination plans.
Represent maintenance team in the daily FMOS meetings. Provides performance data for selected machines and communicates action plans and completed work effectively

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skills and total compensation package for this position will include variable pay medical and dental benefits participation in 401k plan and paid time off of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
