Full Time Day Shift (80 hours biweekly)
Hours: Monday - Friday Day shift hours
General Summary
Performs routine and specialized CT radiographic procedures at an advanced skills level. Performs procedures to produce computerized tomographic images of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- Performs CT Scan Radiology studies; obtains patient history explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
- Under the direct supervision of the physician administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g. contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.
- Under the direction of a Team Leader is responsible for training staff technicians/technologists in new protocols and procedures and certify individuals perform at an adequate level of competency.
- Under the direction of a Team Leader is responsible for the orientation of new employees to the department
- Works with Medical Director and Team Leader to develop and maintain protocols for standardizing imaging.
- Under the directions of the Team Leader is responsible for maintaining the staffing schedule.
- Maintains department quality assurance program.
- Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
- Positions and transfers patients comfortably.
- Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
- Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
- Performs the duties of Radiographer as needed.

- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and error proof systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.
- Maintains established policies and procedures objectives quality assessment safety environmental and infection control standards.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs current literature in-service meetings and workshops.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
- Supervises assists and evaluates students in the clinical education setting.
- Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
- Appropriately segments and archives images and exams to the PACS archive.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas and/or patient rooms.
QualificationsQualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
- 5 years Relevant experience. Required
Licenses:
- Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography - ARRT Upon Hire Required and
- Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in computer tomography procedures. Upon Hire Required
