The Department
The Alfred Cancer Program is responsible for the overall delivery of a comprehensive cancer service which involves a number of clinical areas and units including; Medical Oncology Clinical Haematology Bone Marrow Transplant Apheresis State-wide Haemophilia Service Radiation Oncology Clinical Trials Palliative Care and the Victorian Melanoma Service. The Alfred Care Group Clinical Haematology service offers a multidisciplinary setting for the diagnosis treatment and follow-up of the entire range of haematological diseases.
The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced registered nurse with advanced skills who acts as a clinical resource provides advice and support to patients and undertakes related projects and development activities to meet the clinical needs within non-malignant haematology. The Haemostasis Thrombosis (HT) Nurse Coordinator is an integral member of the Haemophilia and Haematology Service who can practice autonomously but in collaboration with other healthprofessionals to assess and manage a range of patients with non-malignant haematological conditions (e.g. ITP AIHA thrombosis).
