The Director of Institutional Research oversees and implements institutional research activities that align with the mission and goals of the College. This role involves managing data collection analysis and reporting to support institutional planning policy formulation and decision-making. The Director ensures compliance with state and federal reporting requirements and supports accreditation efforts. The Director leads the compilation and submission of various institutional reports administers surveys and provides academic data for strategic planning while meeting all internal and external deadlines.

Reporting and Accreditation:

  • Ensure timely compliance with federal and state reporting requirements including the completion of IPEDS reports as keyholder and other external surveys.
  • Conduct compliance reporting to maintain eligibility for Title IV federal funding and NCAA membership.
  • Organize and direct the collection of various institutional reports and projections not regularly assigned to other offices of the College.
  • Support accreditation efforts by coordinating documentation and reporting for accrediting bodies such as the Higher Learning Commission the Accreditation Counsel for Business Schools and Programs and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in a timely manner to meet all internal and external deadlines.
  • Provide institutional data to external college rankings and informational surveys (i.e. US News and World Report) upon request in a timely manner.

Institutional Research:

  • Direct and manage institutional research activities including data collection extraction analysis and reporting.
  • Provide data on enrollment and majors for college-wide strategic planning and program reviews using both internal and external data from peer institutions.
  • Collaborate with heads of academic departments and other units for data analysis and dissemination.
  • Support assessment workshops and activities.
  • Provide faculty with necessary student data for department reviews including trends in majors minors and course offerings.
  • Administer surveys such as the NSSE and Student Satisfaction Survey including billing coordination and student recruitment.
  • Conduct analyses of survey results running descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing for different student populations.
  • Track academic outcomes including retention and graduation rates placements of graduates alumni outcomes and provide reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform institutional analyses and special projects to evaluate programs identify trends document performance and facilitate administrative decision-making.
  • Coordinate the collection analysis and dissemination of data to provide necessary information for institutional planning and decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

Education: Masters degree in higher education data science institutional research or related field required.

Experience: Minimum of 35 years of progressively responsible experience in institutional research assessment accreditation support or data analysis within higher education. Demonstrated experience with institutional reporting assessment planning and data-informed decision-making.
