Sie sind ein erfahrener Optical Designer und möchten nicht nur Bauteile sondern komplette optische Systeme verantworten Sie denken in physikalischen Zusammenhängen beherrschen moderne Simulationstools und bringen Produkte erfolgreich von der Idee in die Serie Dann sollten wir sprechen.

Aufgaben

• Verantwortung für das Design und die Optimierung komplexer optischer Systeme entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette
• Auslegung und Spezifikation von opto-mechanischen Systemen unter Berücksichtigung von Schnittstellen zu Elektronik Mechanik und Software
• Entwicklung und Definition von optischen Testkonzepten sowie entsprechender Testhardware
• Absicherung von Spezifikationen durch Toleranzanalysen statistische Methoden und experimentelle Validierung
• Enge Begleitung der Produktionsanläufe sowie Unterstützung bei Integration und Test
• Technische Abstimmung mit Lieferanten hinsichtlich Komponenten Fertigungsprozessen und Qualität
• Direkter Austausch mit Kunden zur Klärung von Anforderungen Konzepten und Ergebnissen
• Analyse und nachhaltige Behebung von Systemfehlern im Feld (Root Cause Analysis)

Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Studium der Optik Physik oder vergleichbar
• Mehrjährige (i. d. R. 5 Jahre) Industrieerfahrung im optischen Design idealerweise in komplexen Systemen
• Tiefgehende Expertise in:
  • Optischem Design (Linsen- und Spiegelsysteme Beschichtungen Toleranzen)
  • Simulation und Modellierung vorzugsweise mit Tools wie Ansys/Zemax
  • Statistischen Methoden und experimenteller Verifikation
• Fundiertes Verständnis von Fertigungsprozessen optischer Komponenten
• Erfahrung in der Entwicklung interdisziplinärer Systeme (Optik Mechanik Elektronik Software)
• Sicherer Umgang mit Software-gestützter Analyse und Automatisierung z. B. mit Python
• Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten sowie strukturierte lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
• Kommunikationsstärke und Souveränität im internationalen Umfeld
• Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse (zwingend erforderlich für die interne Zusammenarbeit)
• Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift für die Arbeit im internationalen Umfeld

Job Description

• Responsibility for the design and optimization of complex optical systems across the entire value chain
• Design and specification of opto-mechanical systems taking into account interfaces with electronics mechanics and software
• Development and definition of optical test concepts and corresponding test hardware
• Verification of specifications through tolerance analyses statistical methods and experimental validation
• Close monitoring of production ramp-ups and support during integration and testing
• Technical coordination with suppliers regarding components manufacturing processes and quality
• Direct communication with customers to clarify requirements concepts and results
• Analysis and sustainable resolution of system failures in the field (root cause analysis)

Qualification

• Bachelors or masters degree in optics physics or a related field
• Several years (typically 5 years) of industry experience in optical designideally with complex systems
• In-depth expertise in:
  • Optical design (lens and mirror systems coatings tolerances)
  • Simulation and modeling preferably using tools such as Ansys/Zemax
  • Statistical methods and experimental verification
• Solid understanding of optical component manufacturing processes
• Experience in the development of interdisciplinary systems (optics mechanics electronics software)
• Proficiency in software-based analysis and automation e.g. using Python
• Strong analytical skills and a structured solution-oriented approach to work
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently in an international environment
• Business-level proficiency in German (required for internal collaboration)
• Excellent written and spoken English skills for working in an international environment
