Laboratory Technician (Full-time TemporarySummer) Eurofins Built Environment Testing Cary, NC

Position Summary:

This position serves as an entry level college student position working in the PLM TEM and IAQ departments.  This is a full-time temporary position through the summer with the potential to extend part-time through the school year. The intern will assist all areas of the laboratory with administrative and basic laboratory tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning and maintenance of equipment sample handling and login sample preparation and general administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

       Regular attendance and punctuality

       Assist with quality control administrative tasks

       Receive customer correspondence and direct the information to the appropriate personnel

       Prepare samples for analysis

       Log in client samples

       Stock laboratory supplies

       Maintain clean and prepare glassware and other laboratory equipment

       Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications :

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ)

Education/Experience (BMQ):

Pursing an Associates or Bachelors degree in physical or life science.  

Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

Strong computer scientific organizational and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivated and a positive attitude

Handle moderate stress

Detail oriented

Ability to follow instructions and comply with SOPs

Effective communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Adaptability to work in varying laboratory environments

Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:30 am 4:30 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary NC are encouraged to apply. 

Pay rate: $16/hr

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes the actual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience and skill set base salary of internal peers business sector and geographic location.
