Job Summary

12 hour shift
What youll do
- Supervise and provide guidance and directions to Pharmacy staff
- Responsible for hiring and managing the performance of all Pharmacy staff
- Responsible for creating Pharmacy schedules and arranging for vacation and shift coverage
- Accountable for the financial and operational success of the Pharmacy department
- Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution of the Pharmacy to the Grocery Store
- Identify and report sales opportunities both internally and externally
- Review and control costs at all levels within
- Ensure Pharmacy Operations follow OCP and Company Regulations Policies and Procedures
- Ensure medication and behind the counter inventory levels are adequate to meet patients needs
- Attending meetings as assigned
- Prepare dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients
- Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly positive and pro-active interaction
- Administer Vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program (Point-of-Care testing Prescription Modification and Advancement Minor Ailments etc.)
- Provide Pharmaceutical Professional Services such as Medication Reviews Follow-Ups and Minor Ailment prescribing
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patients needs and Doctors requests/issues
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
- Provide on-going training for all new and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians interns assistants students IPGs)
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days clinics etc.)
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patients needs and Prescribers requests/issues
What youll need:
- Bachelor of Science Pharmacy licensed to Provide Patient Care in Ontario (OCP)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail Pharmacy environment
- Injection Certification CPR certification
- Strong personal computing skills (MS Excel MS Outlook MS Word) as well as working knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy computer system
