Job Summary
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for EnglishLanguage Teachersto provide in-person customized lessons to childrenin Carmel IN
Job Information:
- Student: 12-year-old - girl
- Availability: Mon Wed Fri 4:30-6:30 pm or Sat/Sun (need to discuss the available timing for each week)
- Lesson Location: Lesson Location: near Ronald Reagan Green Park ( Ashworth St Carmel IN 46032)
- Preferred start date: ASAP
- Lesson Frequency: Once a week
- Lesson Duration: 1hour
- Current target language level: Beginner
- Language spoken at home: Japanese
- Students language needs and goals: The family would like the English lessons to help her to adjust to life in the U.S. more easily. Her parents would like her to work on English for daily use. Conversation skill is the one she wants to improve the most but the family thinks writing and reading skills are also important for her to adjust in school life. She enjoys conversation. The family also thinks she can enjoy if there are some fun elements such as games etc.
- Additional information: She is shy so she may not speak up so much so she will need a teacher who creates a fun atmosphere so that she can feel relaxed and speak proactively. (even if she cannot understand what teacher says she may not be able to tell that she cannot understand).
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored dynamic effective and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient effective and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- Certificate or degree in language teaching education instructional design writing language linguistics second-language acquisition or related field
- Minimum of two years of experience
