Basic Job Functions:
Responsabilities for the operator 5 role include but are not limited to:
Safety is the most important aspect of all jobs within Nucor. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies procedures and housekeeping standards.
Safely operate and set up multiple pieces of equipment throughout the rollforming lines and effectively fill in at various positions as needed.
Read and interpret shop drawings.
Understand and execute departmental policies related to production inventory quality and training.
Accurately measure materials and equipment using tools such as tape measures micrometers and squares.
Safely operate overhead cranes forklifts and other equipment as required.
Perform tasks as directed by the line supervisor and/or group leader.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivelant.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with or crosstraining in NBG rollforming operations and equipment.
- Certified crane and forklift operator.
