Basic Job Functions:
Responsabilities for the operator 5 role include but are not limited to:
- Safety is the most important aspect of all jobs within Nucor. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Safely operate and set up multiple pieces of equipment throughout the rollforming lines and effectively fill in at various positions as needed.
- Read and interpret shop drawings.
- Understand and execute departmental policies related to production inventory quality and training.
- Accurately measure materials and equipment using tools such as tape measures micrometers and squares.
- Safely operate overhead cranes forklifts and other equipment as required.
- Perform tasks as directed by the line supervisor and/or group leader.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivelant.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with or crosstraining in NBG rollforming operations and equipment.
- Certified crane and forklift operator.
