A well-established and highly recognised retail group based in Durban is currently seeking experienced Merchandise Planners to join their dynamic team.
The purpose of the role is to manage and drive the quantitative aspects of product planning and procurement. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the right stock is delivered in the right quantities at the right time ultimately supporting profitability and aligning with the brands overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Buying team to develop and deliver a profitable product strategy
- Execute the agreed strategy in line with budget and business objectives
- Monitor and analyse weekly trading performance identifying opportunities to maximise sales and mitigate risk
- Manage and control budgets ensuring accurate and timely stock ordering
- Continuously review performance to inform forward planning and identify growth opportunities
- Contribute to the broader goal of driving performance within a leading retail environment
Requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
5 - 6 years solid experience in Merchandise Planning / Retail
