Job Summary
The Supervisor will assist in providing leadership and advocacy for programs and services to students in special education programs; will provide consultation and technical assistance to school personnel regarding special education policies and procedures including early intervening services; will assist in the collection analyzing and monitoring of data in managing and improving special education services; will assist in the supervision and evaluation of special education staff. The Program Manager will plan implement and work with staff in evaluating special education programs and services as well as serve as a resource to other staff throughout the district about special education services.
- Assists the Director in the development implementation and evaluation of special education programs and early intervening services.
- Provides consultation and technical assistance to school staff parents and other regarding special education due process rules policies and practices.
- Assists in the collection analysis and monitoring of data for the purpose of managing and improving special education services including early intervening services.
- Provides Staff Training and Support
Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree
- Minnesota Special Education Directors License or the ability to obtain
- Evidence of at least 5 years of successful special education teaching and case management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred license in at least one general education area (i.e. elementary education or a core content area)
- Preferred experience in educational leadership with increasing levels of responsibility in Special Education.
