The Elementary Resource Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a resource setting. This role focuses on helping students access the general education curriculum while addressing their individualized learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students IEP goals
Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers staff and families to support student success
Maintain accurate documentation progress reports and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Participate in staff meetings and required school activities
Attend and contribute to IEP meetings (overtime approved when applicable)
Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Support behavioral and academic interventions as needed
Student Population
Elementary School (Grades K5)
Approximate caseload: 30 students
Required Qualifications
Active EC (Exceptional Children) Licensure
Ability to pass required background check
Strong knowledge of special education laws procedures and best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
