Essential Duties & Responsibilities
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment or fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters or oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment such as power construction equipment measuring devices power tools and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes ammeters or test lamps.
- Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles light fixtures light switches lighting ballast motors etc.
- Assists in keeping building common and electrical spaces in a neat orderly and safe condition.
- Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary according to department policies.
- Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention ethics etc.
- Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
- Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
