As the Medical Records Assistant you will be responsible for all activates of the Medical Records Department including but not limited to: processing requests for release of information transcription of patient record materials and general maintenance of patient records.
Please note this is a full-time on-site role based out of Wickenburg AZ. Please only apply if this location and commute work for you.
Essential Duties Include:
- Records Analysis / Maintenance
- Analyze data to ensure records meet regulatory and company standards/ policies / procedures protocols as well as industry best practices. Assemble records / data in established format in a manner consistent with laws regulations and company policy.
- Release of Information / Privacy
- Process release of information in a manner consistent with security and confidentiality laws regulations and company policy.
- Other
- Ability to converse in English with others to give take and process information extensive use of telephone.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information multi-task coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Communicate with other staff to relay concerns and observations involving patient safety.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required
- Experience with medical records industry standards and medical / clinical terminology.
