RN – PCU Stepdown RNPS

Position: RN PCU / Stepdown

Location: Morgantown WV
Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)

Schedule:

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts

Compensation:

• Weekly Gross Pay: $2001

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care between ICU and medical-surgical units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a PCU/Stepdown setting.
• Monitor and assess patients with complex and acute conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience in a hospital setting required

Licensure:

• Active West Virginia RN License or Multistate (Compact) License required

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA required
