Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Schedule:
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Compensation:
- Weekly Gross Pay: $2001
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care between ICU and medical-surgical units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a PCU/Stepdown setting.
- Monitor and assess patients with complex and acute conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience in a hospital setting required
Licensure:
- Active West Virginia RN License or Multistate (Compact) License required
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA required
