Job Description:

AI Partnerships and Portfolio Lead supports the development of strategic initiatives by bringing structure clarity and discipline to how ideas are explored validated and shaped into executable solutions.

This role works closely with business leaders technology teams and external partners to guide initiatives from concept through delivery readiness. The role requires exceptional attention to detail strong judgment and the ability to move quickly and precisely in dynamic environments. Success in this role depends on agility followthrough and a teambased approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Initiative Development and Program Support

  • Support the development of AI initiatives such as Evolve Imagineers and external partnerships.
  • Help define initiative objectives scope assumptions dependencies and success criteria.
  • Bring structure and rigor to initiative development through clear documentation and disciplined ways of working.


Facilitation and Use Case Validation

  • Facilitate working sessions to clarify problems align stakeholders and surface critical details.
  • Support use case discovery and validation including value articulation feasibility assessment and decision readiness.
  • Ensure use cases are well formed evidencebased and clearly understood before moving forward.


Solution Development and Delivery Readiness

  • Partner with Dev Engineers architects and delivery teams to shape solution approaches during early stages.
  • Support solution definition by identifying requirements risks constraints and open questions.
  • Help prepare initiatives for delivery by clarifying ownership next steps and handoffs.


Learning and Emerging Technologies

  • Actively develop knowledge of AI and emerging technologies relevant to Sun Life initiatives.
  • Apply new learnings thoughtfully to initiative development and solution design.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear precise language for business and leadership audiences.


Ways of Working and Team Contribution

  • Demonstrate a highly collaborative teambased approach to work.
  • Contribute to the refinement of program tools templates and playbooks.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve how initiatives are developed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Execution of Innovative Programs including their evaluation and continual development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple moving parts accurately.
  • Strong facilitation skills and comfort working directly with senior and crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Experience with use case definition validation and early solution development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with agility while maintaining high standards of quality and rigor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI data digital or emerging technology initiatives.
  • Experience working with external partners or acquired technical assets.
  • Familiarity with agile productoriented or innovationled ways of working.

Relationship to Other Roles

This role works closely with our AI adoption initiatives and external partners. It is a leadership role with lots of room for creativity and collaboration.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
