Job Summary
Watson Candidate Assistant is here to answer questions about working at Dallas ISD.
- Lead critical conversations regarding valid and reliable scoring practices with senior members of School Leadership Human Capital Management and campuses.
- Review DTR-eligible teacher applications including evaluator input submitted artifacts written responses before assigning ratings using the Distinguished Teacher Review Rubric.
- Champion the analysis and refinement the Teacher Performance Rubric used by Dallas ISD as well as other components of the Performance Management Systems.
- Identify design and facilitate trainings for evaluators focused on researched-based strategies to ensure valid and reliable scoring practices are utilized across the District.
- Analyze data to identify areas of support needed for each system respond appropriately to needs assessed partnering in the development of supplemental trainings and resources with departments within Dallas ISD including Teaching and Learning and School Leadership.
- Monitor teaching performance scores and evidence collection across campuses to improve ongoing calibration efforts.
- Support the successful implementation of the Distinguished Teacher Review process.
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university; Masters Degree from an accredited university preferred.
- 3-5 years of direct education experience preferred.
- Leadership experience with a school district preferred.
- Track record of coaching and developing school staff to increase their use of effective teaching strategies and ultimately improve student achievement.
- Strong oral presentation training and facilitation skills appropriate for adult learners; track record of obtaining learning outcomes with adult learners.
- Understanding of issues related to the use of observational protocols (e.g. rater drift calibration reference bias).
- Ability to coordinate prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
