Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - Security Engineer External DNS Vendor Coordination
In this role the Security Engineer drives governance and operational oversight of outsourced DNS services to uphold enterprise security and availability standards.
Responsibilities
External DNS Service Coordination
Act as the primary operational liaison between Client and the external DNS service provider(s).
Submit track and manage external DNS change requests (zone updates record changes configuration modifications) per approved change processes.
Coordinate DNS-related incident escalations with vendor support teams.
Track and monitor vendor SLA adherence and follow up on outstanding tickets.
Maintain vendor contact lists and escalation matrices.

Domain Registration & Certificate Coordination
Coordinate domain registration requests and renewals through approved domain registrar(s).
Submit and track public certificate requests and renewals per defined procedures.
Monitor expiration timelines for domains and certificates and initiate renewal workflows in advance.
Maintain inventory records for externally managed domains and certificates (as directed).

Service Request & Change Management
Process external DNS-related service requests in accordance with SLAs.
Ensure all changes are executed following Client change management procedures.
Validate vendor-completed changes against approved requests.
Document all actions and communications in Client tracking systems.

Incident & Problem Management Support
Support coordination during DNS-related outages or degradation events.
Collect vendor-provided logs and timelines for incident documentation.
Provide inputs into RCA documentation for external DNS incidents.
Track corrective actions assigned to vendor or internal stakeholders.

Audit Logging & Compliance Support
Maintain sufficient documentation and ticket artifacts to support audit and compliance reviews.
Support requests from Client for operational evidence related to external DNS activities.
Maintain accurate records of domain registrations and public certificate lifecycle events.
Provide required reporting inputs for monthly service reviews.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience in regulated enterprise environments preferred.
ITIL knowledge preferred.
Vendor coordination or service delivery management experience preferred.
