Administer occupational therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of an Occupational therapist.
Education
- Trade School
- Associates Degree (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant License (Required)
Experience
- May assist in the development of treatment plans carrying out routine functions and documenting the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by an occupational therapist.
- Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
- Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
- Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
- Participates/assists with updates in formal plan of care to address individual patient needs. Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
- Initiate develop and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members patients and family members to improve patient outcomes. Productive and efficient in daily operations.
