Position Responsibilities:
Write control specification documents for deployment of system designs. Integrate control system products and partner with suppliers and customers. Work with all the stakeholders to optimize the system to predefined success criteria to ensure smooth handover to customers. Conduct PLC troubleshooting and diagnostic. Own and develop controls commissioning and testing tasks for systems. Lead initiatives to enhance engineering testing and operational best practices within the team. Conduct comprehensive analysis and testing of both existing and prospective engineering solutions and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control specifications and training materials. Lead incident follow-up root cause analysis and documentation. Engage in industrial engineering design for both existing and new material handling systems across our global network. Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety (H&S) protocols and actively contribute to the identification and mitigation of potential H&S risks. Foster effective relationships by partnering with various stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field and six years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) designing developing implementing and supporting PLC-based control systems; (2) designing systems emphasizing design patterns reliability and scalability of both new and existing systems; (3) programming with modern PLC software; (4) diagnosing PLC control level issues including with Allen-Bradley systems; (5) in both hardware and software aspects of Industrial Control Systems; and (6) with control systems and software development life-cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience. Domestic travel up to 40% may be required.
