The Opportunity
Adobe Cloud Platform & Collaboration (ACPC) builds the cloud infrastructure behind Photoshop Firefly Express and other creative tools used by millions every day. Were looking for a Cloud Software Engineer who wants to take ownership of services that creative professionals around the world rely on.
Youll join a team of four to nine engineers that designs builds and operates microservices at scale across multiple cloud regions. We follow a You build it you own it philosophy meaning youll have real responsibility from architecture through production. Youll collaborate with teams in Hamburg the US and India working on problems where reliability security and performance matter every day.
What youll Do
Develop and operate Java microservices that power Adobes cloud platform supporting a large global audience
Improve the performance reliability and security of services your team owns end-to-end
Apply modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tooling to make development faster and more productive
Raise the quality bar through code reviews testing strategies and thoughtful system design
Work closely with your team and collaborate across engineering and product organizations
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning shared ownership and open collaboration across teams
What you need to succeed
5 years of professional experience in software engineering ideally in cloud-native environments
Strong programming skills in Java; additionally Go or C would be a plus
Solid understanding of distributed systems microservice architectures and cloud platforms such as AWS
Hands-on experience with Spring RESTful APIs and NoSQL databases like MongoDB Cassandra or DynamoDB
Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus Grafana or Splunk
Clear communication skills in German and English
Curious about modern development practices including AI-assisted development and automation
