PGG Wrightson Seeds is part of the global DLF Group servicing both New Zealand and international markets. We work across the entire seed journey from research and development through to production processing and on-farm support supplying high-quality seed to arable growers livestock producers and food and feed manufacturers.
We are one of New Zealands leading seed and grain processors and are now seeking a motivated capable Storeperson to join our Ashburton team in our dispatch area.
As a Storeperson youll play a key role in the day to day performance of our dispatch operation with a strong focus on quality efficiency and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift and stack pallets
- Loading/Unloading trucks
- Container loading
- Prepping the seed for dispatch
- Providing efficient and professional customer service to transport providers and clients
- Maintaining the general tidiness of the store
Skills and Experience:
- A good level of verbal and written communication
- Experience in the grain and seed (or similar) industry would be an advantage but is not essential
- A positive approach
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work without supervision or within a team setting
- Be physically fit to be able to cope with the demands of the role
- A forklift license is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Previous experience in reach truck operation would be beneficial
