Under the direction of the Powerhouse Lead the Powerhouseor Operateris responsible forthe safeefficientand reliable maintenance and monitoring of the steam generating boilers and related equipment hot water systems ammonia refrigeration compressors and related equipment compressed air equipment plant vacuumpumpsand fire alarm system.
Familiarity with basic and advanced hand and power tools including tubing benders welders grinders and sheet metal. Requiresmaintainingconstant complianceofemergency equipment including the ability to properly wear respiratory equipment (For FIT Test) and maintenance of PPE which requires passing a yearly medical physical. The job expectations are to work from brief verbal as well as moderately complex written instructions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Utility log rounds and meter readings.
Operation of Boilers Ammonia system Water system and Compressed air system.
Facility repairs and maintenance including doors drains exhaust fans etc. andPMs.
Required to be a HAZWOPER team member.
Maintain good Housekeeping without direction.
General Plumbing skills including PVC black ironcopperand stainless steel.
Assistwith energy savings and plant improvements.

Preferred experience with pipefitting plumbing rebuilding pumps gearboxes welding layout and fabrication and mechanical drawings.
2 years experience or technical training in the following areas (Refrigeration Boiler operation water treatment).

Goodcommunication/teamworkskills.
Willingtotrain onovertime and work holidays.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. A minimum of five years working experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and associated PSM requirements is preferred. Working and technical knowledge of refrigeration and maintenance systems equipment installation/startups and plant utility equipment are preferred.
Experience working with vendors and contractors is preferred. Individual must be knowledgeable of company safety policies and procedures. Individual must have good interpersonal and team skills to function as a team member and leader. Individual should have good organizational skills be detail oriented self-motivated and possess good leadership skills. Proficient with Word and Excel software applications. AutoCAD experience is beneficial.
