The Finance area at Vanderbilt Universitys Owen Graduate School of Management offers a twoyear postdoctoral fellowship for recent graduates with a Ph.D. in Finance or Economics with research interests in financial economics.
Postdocs work closely with Owen finance faculty on new research projects while making progress toward the publication of their current work. To be eligible candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by July prior to the start of the fellowship. The strongest candidates will be those whose research interests closely align with those of Owen faculty and for whom both the postdoc and the faculty member can foresee developing joint research projects. Fellowship Details
Accepted postdocs receive an annual salary plus benefits as well as an annual allowance for research/conferencerelated travel and addition the school provides a single standard computer IT support and access to standard databases such as those through Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). During the period of the fellowship the postdocs are expected to be in residence work closely with faculty on research projects participate actively in research seminars at Owen and otherwise contribute to the research mission of the school. About the Organization
The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University has an enrollment of over 600 fulltime students in its fulltime MBA Executive MBA Master of Science in Finance Masters of Accountancy Masters of Marketing and Masters of Management in Health Care programs. The schools 50 fulltime faculty members are actively engaged in research which is supported in part through the schools four research centers including the Hans Stoll Financial Markets Research Center (FMRC) which fosters scholarly research on financial markets instruments and institutions.
