Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Screening in Houston TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will monitor entry points verify credentials and support smooth site operations. This role combines strong communication with visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures verifying credentials and following site-specific policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points document visitor and vehicle activity and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas loading zones and/or operational spaces.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating security-related concerns according to post orders and location protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter observing for unusual activity unsecured access points and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
- Communicate with site contacts dispatch and/or emergency responders as needed while preparing clear reports on incidents access exceptions and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
