Job Summary

Middleware Engineer Consultant Kansas City MO Hybrid (MTh on-site / Fri remote)

Responsibilities

Deploy and support infrastructure and application stacks across multiple business units
Maintain systems through patching break-fixes and enhancements
Automate processes and deployments using Ansible Urban Code Deploy and scripting
Coordinate with app development systems network and security teams
Triage and troubleshoot application issues across dev QA and production environments
Identify improvements to availability reliability and performance of application infrastructure
Provide technical leadership on team and project initiatives
Document work in accordance with corporate and departmental policies
Engage with technology vendors in support of the environment
Participate in on-call rotation with shared team responsibilities

Required

Bachelors degree 3 years supporting n-Tier app infrastructure OR 5 years without degree
Hands-on experience applications
Proficiency with UNIX and Windows operating systems
Knowledge of web/app servers: Microsoft IIS IBM WebSphere IBM HTTPS Apache
Experience with SSL certificates and Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS HTTP)
Scripting proficiency: Python Jython Bash PowerShell or similar

Preferred

Experience with Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform
Familiarity with Active Directory LDAP or eDirectory LDAP
SSO application experience
Code development background
ITIL Foundations Certification
Relevant certifications or professional training
