Job Title: Lead Building Engineer
Location: Carson CA
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
This position offers the opportunity to work in a unique high-performance environment supporting a premier facility where technical excellence responsiveness and professionalism are essential.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Shift options: 6:00 AM 3:00 PM PST or 8:00 AM 5:00 PM PST
- Rotating schedule across two shifts
- On-call rotation: 1 week at a time within a 4-person team (emergency response only)
- One Sunday shift per month required
- Onsite parking available
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of facility systems
- Oversee HVAC electrical plumbing hydraulic fire/life safety and control systems
- Manage and prioritize reactive and preventative maintenance work orders
- Ensure all building systems operate at optimal performance levels
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs when needed
- Maintain strict environmental and safety standards (including site-specific requirements)
- Utilize electronic work order systems (Building Engines) and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and tracking
- Support facility events requiring rapid response and reconfiguration
- Assist in budgeting inventory control and vendor evaluation
- Mentor and guide other engineers fostering technical growth and team performance
- Partner with the Chief Engineer on operational reporting and annual planning
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial facility maintenance experience
- EPA Section 608 Universal (CFC) Certification required
- Technical certification in at least two of the following:
- HVAC (strongly preferred)
- Electrical
- Piping/Plumbing
- Hydraulics
- Central Utility Plant Operations
- Formal HVAC trade school training required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional communication in both guest-facing and team environments
- High energy accountability and attention to detail
- Proven ability to lead mentor and support engineering teams
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights up to 26 feet and in varying environmental conditions
- Capable of performing physically demanding maintenance tasks
