This role sits within our newly formed FIC Sales Technology team and offers significant room for growth. The initial focus is hands on: analysing frontoffice sales data understanding both data flows and how datasets are joined across systems and defining practical strategies to address issues that affect FIC sales teams.
You will have strong domain knowledge and the ability to work across organisational boundaries to solve complex crosssystem data problems. It is a senior individual contributor position suited to someone comfortable with ambiguity detailed analysis and evidencedriven problem solving. The core of the role is analysis problem solving and shaping strategy. You will also support the development of junior team members within a collaborative deliveryfocused environment.

Your key responsibilities
- Analysing complex FIC sales datasets identifying data quality issues tracing lineage and clearly explaining root causes and business impact
- Translating analytical findings into clear actionable plans and roadmaps that balance front-office needs and technical constraints
- Working closely with engineers and product owners to ensure insights lead to effective changes in pipelines reporting and data consumption
- Providing analysis-driven input into platform and system design to support reliable analytics and future AI use cases
- Ensuring data is well understood structured correctly and fit for purpose with clear visibility into quality lineage and limitations
- Acting as the senior focal point for FIC sales data issues coordinating with front office technology data and control teams
Your skills and experience
- Track record as a hands-on Business Data Analyst delivering meaningful outcomes through deep analysis of complex high-volume datasets and structured problem solving
- Experience with frontoffice investmentbanking data and strong Fixed Income & Currencies domain expertise with solid understanding of sales workflows enabling clear interpretation of data issues in business context
- Understanding of data architecture and datamodelling principles combined with advanced experience querying exploring and investigating largescale datasets using technologies such as Oracle KDB or ClickHouse; familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python) is also beneficial
- Working knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts particularly how data quality structure and lineage affect analytical and AI-driven outcomes
- Experience leading analysis-driven initiatives mentoring junior team members and contributing to team capability building
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly explain complex data issues findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
